Hannity: US Gov't. Leading America on Path to ‘Demise and Bankruptcy’

Nationally syndicated radio and TV host Sean Hannitysaid that the U.S. government’s “unsustainable” spending is leading the country into “demise and bankruptcy”.
“This is a path towards America’s demise and bankruptcy,” Hannity said on his Thursday broadcast, citing the nation’s rising national debt.
“Do you trust government to be the answer to all of your problems? I don’t. I think things are getting worse and worse and worse by the day,” he continued.

Here is a transcript of what Hannity said:
“Worried about your children’s future, your grandchildren’s future?
Government debt will reach 107% of the U.S. economy in 2040. In other words, U.S. government debt, held by the public, is expected to rise to 107% of the economy in 2040. It’s now at 74% this year.
“Do you not understand -- this is simple math. This isn’t Washington math. This isn’t make-pretend math. This isn’t when you cut the rate of increase from 10% to 8% that you’re cutting something. It’s not like... they lie to us constantly -- unemployment numbers that don’t count the chronically unemployed, long-term unemployed, those that gave up looking for work.
“That means that this is unsustainable. This is a path towards America’s demise and bankruptcy. You trust government?" Hannity asked.
“You know, the Fed now is looking at potentially raising interest rates. An article out there today saying the “Fed’s Worst Nightmare: The ‘ghost of 1937’.” They’re fighting for, apparently, Wall Street strategists who worry that the bank is so cautious over not making the mistakes in decades gone by that they ‘may miss [an] opportunity to normalize monetary policy after seven years of decidedly abnormal times.’
“How many times can they keep pumping $60 billion a month into the economy? At some point, that’s not gonna work anymore.”
