LIES! Media Shamelessly Alters Trump Transcript To Fuel Outrage

A faulty transcript from President Trump’s free-wheeling press conference on Tuesday sent the mainstream media into a frenzy, falsely suggesting that President Trump grouped himself with white nationalists when he said alt-left protesters “came charging at us.”

The last-minute press conference sent the liberal press into an all-out feeding frenzy, with many seizing on one particular statement as proof President Trump identifies himself with the far-right hate groups.

“Okay, what about the alt-left that came charging at us?” reported Politico. The sentence went viral on social media within minutes.

In reality, the President said “came charging at them,” an obvious departure from the liberal narrative that the President refuses to “unequivocally” condemn the KKK and other hate groups.

Politico issued a timid “correction” of the phony transcript, saying “In a review of the audio, we could not definitively discern Trump's exact words at that moment in the news conference.”

A reporter from the New York Times also tweeted the correction to the transcript.

President Trump’s impromptu press conference made national headlines after the President doubled-down on his comments that “many sides” were to blame in the deadly protests the rocked Virginia over the weekend.

“You had a group on one side and you had a group on the other and they came at each other with clubs and it was vicious and it was horrible and it was a horrible thing to watch, but there is another side,” said the President. “There was a group on this side — you can call them the left, you've just called them the left — that came violently attacking the other group, so you can say what you want but that's the way it is.”
