Saturday, Al Qaeda issued a rallying cry for Muslims to stab random Americans, assassinate businessmen, and kill entrepreneurs all in hopes of destroying the US economy. The chilling commands were published in the Islamic group’s online magazine, Inspire. The magazine is distributed by Al Qaeda’s main affiliate in Yemen, known to Western security officials as AQAP, or Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula.
Inspire’s latest cover features a large headline reading “Professional Assassinations,” with articles entitled “Home Assassinations,”instructing potential recruits about the logistics of killing Americans in their homes in the dark of night.

Notably, the issue features a prominent spread on Microsoft billionaire Bill Gates. Gates’ photos are posted throughout the magazine. Some of the photos have been photoshopped to show blood dripping down the billionaire’s face.
According to a translation provided by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI), the magazine’s editor Yahya Ibrahim, details the thematic focus of the “assassination” issue in an extended introduction. Ibrahim writes:
The prophet ordered the killing of many criminal leaders using this method … And here we are, following the footsteps of the prophet on how he dealt with his enemies and friends.We will never put down our weapons until we fulfill what Allah wants from us. We are determined to keep fighting and striking Americans with operations by organized jihadi groups and by Lone Jihad, [and] pursuing America in its homeland — by the will of Allah.
Stressing the importance of high body counts, Ibrahim “inspires” Muslim recruits to consider “workplace assassinations” as a means of terrorizing the American homeland.

According to MEMRI analysts, the issue “provides detailed information and instructions on preparing for and carrying out various targeted assassinations. It stresses that an assassin should possess different options to carry out an attack, which gives him or her a greater chance for success, and elevates the operation to a more ‘professional’ level.”
