Eric Holder’s Justice Department Knew of IRS Abuse, Did Nothing

To say that Eric Holder’s Department of Justice is corrupt would be an understatement. The goal of non-partisan justice or even enforcement of the law has no relation to this government department. It’s all politics — and it’s all about retaining power.

Holder targeted a Fox News Journalist. He lied in front of congress, a felony. He had agents supporting an anti-Zimmerman protest. Last night, he said prosecuting Zimmerman on a federal level would be a racial “opportunity”.

And now, the truth is out again. This time, a report from a government watchdog shows that the Department of Justice KNEW about the IRS scandal, and they did nothing. They declined to prosecute even though there was clear criminal behavior. Why? I think we know why. The IRS scandal goes straight to the top – to Obama himself. A top Republican senator is pressing Attorney General Eric Holder for answers following allegations by a government watchdog that the IRS may have improperly accessed the tax records of a political donor or candidate — but the Justice Department declined to prosecute the case.

Sen. Charles Grassley, R-Iowa, questioned whether that DOJ decision was “politically motivated.”

The original allegation was one of several in a letter from J. Russell George, the inspector general who oversees the IRS, to Grassley. For the first time, George revealed claims that IRS officials targeted political candidates for audits, and that, separately, donor or candidate tax information was improperly accessed or disclosed.

To date, the IRS scandal has focused mainly on the agency’s practice of targeting conservative groups for additional scrutiny as they applied for nonprofit status.

And for the first time, the letter also raised questions about the Justice Department’s role in allegations of IRS misconduct.

In one case, George said in his letter, “we presented evidence of a willful unauthorized access to the Department of Justice, but the case was declined for prosecution.”

There is no need to suspect the administration of corruption. Now, we can comfortably know it without doubt. They’re flaunting it, getting away with it, and trampling on every basic right that Americans have enjoyed.

This government is the enemy. And Americans need to face this fact before it’s too late.
