In a recently released video by Hobby Lobby, a family-run chain of arts and crafts stores, an employee describes the company’s lawsuit against the federal government to protect their right to religious freedom in refusing to pay for insurance that covers abortion-inducing birth control.
The company feels that the federal government has overstepped its bounds in this requirement, especially because their conservative Christian values have come under fire.
Because of the way Obamacare is affecting churches, businesses, and charities with moral objections to abortifacient drugs, the company is suing the federal government and making a stand for the religious freedoms of all Americans, regardless of the popularity of their views.
Their case has made it all the way to the Supreme Court, which has already intervened twice to keep the Department of Health and Human Services from enforcing the contraceptive mandate.
