Video: Rand Paul Obliterates Obama’s Fake “NSA Reform” Speech (Click to Watch)

I think they built a data center in Utah that is supposed to hold all this info that Obama said they are going to stop? If that's the case the millions they spent on the building is a wast! I don't believe they will stop!

Rand Paul has been a warrior in combating the Obama Administration and the NSA’s assault on our Fourth Amendment rights.  He’s been relentlessly going after the administration on the spying program, even going so far as to start up a class action lawsuitagainst Obama.
When Obama came out to give a speech on how he was supposedly “reforming” the NSA’s spying program, he was called out by several individuals, including Sen. Paul and one of the lead attorneys on a lawsuit against the NSA, for not being genuine.
Obama proposed to continue reviewing the metadata “when we need” but not keeping it.  He also said that he wants to get the secret FISA court to issue warrantsbefore the data is used and that he would cut back on spying on the leaders of allied nations.  But everyone knows he’s blowing smoke.
Larry Klayman, one of the attorneys leading the legal battle against the NSA, had some strong comments (via WND):
Klayman said his lawsuits and the information leaked by former NSA contractor Edward Snowden forced the president to propose changes.
“Without what Snowden has done, without the court decision, he wouldn’t have been standing at the podium,” Klayman said.
Klayman asserted Obama’s proposals “don’t matter.”
“He doesn’t have the authority. It has to come from Congress,” he said
The attorney said Obama was “spewing smoke … to make himself look good.”
Klayman also said Obama has not engendered trust.
“If you believe he was serious about investigating the IRS, investigating Benghazi, telling the truth about Obamacare … then you can believe what he said today. He doesn’t mean it.”
He’s right.  We shouldn’t believe a word Obama says about how he’s going to “fix” the NSA.  He hasn’t taken serious steps to make amends for his other scandals, why would he do so for this one?
Rand Paul, appearing on Wolf Blitzer’s show on CNN, also had some strong remarks about the president’s speech:
“I think what I heard was if you like your privacy you can keep it, but in the meantime we’re going to keep collecting your phone records, your emails, your text messages, and likely your credit card information…I heard, ‘Trust me, I’m going to put some more safeguards in place, but I’m going to keep right on collecting Americans’ records.’”
Here is the video of the interview:
Americans are tired of being lied to about how Obama is going to fix all of Washington’s problems.  He’s done nothing but continue the same national security policies as his predecessor.  He’s given us no reason to believe what he has said on any issue.
Help us spread the word about how Obama’s NSA “reform” speech is drawing some harsh criticisms from key players in the liberty movement.
