VICTORY: Idaho Legislature Nullifies Federal Gun Control

There is a growing trend of states fighting back against the Federal government by working to nullify overreaching Federal laws within their borders.
A number of states arerebelling against Obamacare, and some states have moved to nullify things like the NDAA and the NSA.
Several states are working on laws that will nullify Federal gun control laws, including AlaskaArizonaMississippiMissouri and Tennessee, among others.
Now the state of Idaho, who already voted to nullify certain EPA regulations in their state, has unanimously voted to nullify all future Federal gun control laws.
Ben Swann reports:
Wednesday night the Idaho state House passed a bill which would effectively nullify future federal gun laws by prohibiting state enforcement of any future federal act relating to personal firearms, a firearm accessories or ammunition. The vote was 68-0. It previously passed the state Senate by a vote of 34-0, and will now go to the Governor Otter’s desk for a signature.
The bill, known as SB 1332, reads, in part:
“protect Idaho law enforcement officers from being directed, through federal executive orders, agency orders, statutes, laws, rules, or regulations enacted or promulgated on or after the effective date of this act, to violate their oath of office and Idaho citizens’ rights under Section 11, Article I, of the Constitution of the State of Idaho.”
“any official, agent or employee of the state of Idaho or a political subdivision thereof who knowingly and willfully orders an official, agent or employee of the state of Idaho or a political subdivision of the state to enforce any executive order, agency order, law, rule or regulation of the United States government as provided in subsection (2) of this section upon a personal firearm, a firearm accessory or ammunition shall, on a first violation, be liable for a civil penalty not to exceed one thousand dollars ($1,000) which shall be paid into the general fund of the state…”
This bill is a good start for Idaho, and hopefully other states will pass similar legislation.  While it does nothing to address the already existing Federal gun laws, it would prohibit and prevent the enforcement of any future laws that would infringe upon the right of Idahoans to keep and bear arms.
It should also be noted that this law wouldn’t necessarily stop Federal agents from enforcing gun control, but would stop any and all state, local or municipal agents of the state of Idaho from assisting or themselves enforcing Federal laws.
Don’t hold your breathe waiting to hear about this on any national media outlet, as the mainstream media is largely ignoring the nullification movement, as it doesn’t fit their agenda.
