Obama's Fanaticism

When Obama burst upon the scene, prescient souls saw through the mask and asserted that, like all alleged utopian dreams, his would only result in inequalities and injustices. As world-renowned Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks, former chief rabbi of the British Commonwealth, writes in his 2013 Haggada: Collected Essays on Pesach:
In the history of the human mind there have been many utopias, imagined paradises. None has been realized.  Indeed the word 'utopia' itself means 'no place.' Utopias never happen because they come without a realistic map of how to get from here to there. They are discontinuous with the present. They can be brought about only by revolution, and almost without exception, [these utopian] revolutions replace iniquities and inequities with injustices of their own (33).
Consequently Americans have been and continue to be deluded by a man who feels he is entitled to a divine right to rule over his subjects, the very subjects whom he reviles and despises, especially those who still value freedom.
In all of Obama's executive orders and unconstitutional actions, one characteristic is abundantly clear and that is the "negation of liberty." Instead he creates an "ongoing despair" as people work harder and earn less, as people strive for success, but are shackled by ObamaCare lies, excessive regulations, and increasing taxes.
And with Obama's latest maniacal desire to increase the current debt of $18 trillion, he is intent on completely destroying what "Edmund Burke had in mind when he called society a partnership 'not only between those who are living but between those who are living, those who are dead, and those who are to be born'" (11). This editorial cartoon by the inimitable Michael Ramirez reflects what Obama has deliberately done to future generations of Americans who will be burdened with his out-of-control and wasteful spending.
Obama has broken the mantle of any respectability of the office of the president. His lies have so disillusioned some people that they no longer have faith that the country can be turned around. And since historical illiteracy continues among many, at least some of us are in danger of "forget[ting] where we came from, the battles our ancestors fought and the long journey" towards a good and decent America. Instead hateful leftist lies continue unabated.
On the one hand, we discover that Obama warmly welcomes "Muslim leaders" including "members of known jihadist groups." And on the other, he "stuns and horrifies Americans, and indeed Christians around the world not to mention victims of Islamist horror" with his bigoted rant at the National Prayer Breakfast. At what point can it be definitively acknowledged that Obama's loyalties are not with the United States?  Moreover, this man's disregard for humanity is breathtaking and terrifying. But what of the responsibility of the people? American Judge Learned Hand wrote that " [l]iberty lies in the hearts of men and women; when it dies there, no constitution, no law, no court can save it; no constitution, no law, no court can even do much to help it" (16).
Where are the so-called feminists marching, writing, and speaking out on behalf of their Yazidi, Christian, Jewish and Muslim sisters who are experiencing genocide? Why aren't gay groups exploding with rage as they see Muslim gays thrown off roofs and then stoned to death?
And where are today's artists and writers -- where is the artist who creates the angst that Picasso did when he drew the horror of "Guernica?"  Have we become so inured that the rape, kidnapping, beheading, and immolation of human beings no longer shock but become fodder for movies?
Will the LA Times ever release the "videotape of a 2003 farewell bash in Chicago at which Barack Obama lavished praise on the guest of honor, Rashid Khalidi -- former mouthpiece for master terrorist Yasser Arafat" so that the media can finally become a source of factual information rather than remaining the useful stooges of this administration?
When will Obama's allegiances be sharply contrasted with those Muslims who publicly state that "[n]either jihadism nor Islamism permit the equality of all humans irrespective of their race or religion and should therefore be rejected. Our denial and our relative silence must stop."
These courageous Muslims have declared that "[i]t is the duty of ... Muslims to actively and vigorously affirm and promote universal human rights, including gender equality and freedom of conscience. If Islam is a religion that stands for justice and peaceful coexistence, then the quest for an Islamic state cannot be justified as sanctioned by a just and merciful Creator."  Moreover, they assert that Muslims of good will "must also recognize and loudly proclaim that the quest for any and all 'Islamic State(s)' has no place in modern times. Theocracy, particularly Islamism, is a proven failure. The path to justice and reform is through liberty."
And since Obama does not reach out to these Muslims, other Americans need to demand answers to his avoidance of these moderate Muslims and their ideas.
And at the same time, we must exact answers from Obama as to why, from 2008 on he "entered the White House with the intention of forging an alliance with our most dangerous enemy in the Middle East." As Michael Ledeen writes
the president is apparently immovable on this matter, regardless of advice from his own people, from our military leaders, and from allies.
Where is the unrelenting moral outrage when the Commander-in-Chief collaborates with groups who swear to destroy us? Repeatedly Obama demonstrates his contempt for the sweat and tears bequeathed by earlier generations of Americans in their ardent desire to ensure freedom. He spits on their sacrifice in the same way that he carelessly throws flowers on the graves of fallen soldiers.
But this is his craven way. When Obama convenes a Passover seder at the White House, he makes a mockery of what the Holiday of Liberation is all about. Donning a yarmulke at a seder does not excuse his warm welcome of race-baiter, tax cheat, and anti-Semite Al Sharpton or Muslim Brotherhood operatives whose goal is the extermination of Israel and the infiltration of America. Who does he think he is fooling?
And why are liberal Jews still in denial about this man's true nature?  As far back as 2009, Abraham H. Miller noted that Obama "received nearly 80% of the Jewish vote" while Israeli Jews "saw through Obama." And "since the election, Obama's policies toward Israel have been treacherous, [yet] the reaction of the liberal Jewish community can only be described as inconceivable." As time has passed, Obama has become more intractable in his demands on Israel. Is it harsh to suggest that in Barack Obama, liberal Jews have "certainly found their messiah" and have forgotten the Jewish insistence on life and freedom?

Are enough Americans sick and tired of the endless lies Obama perpetrates and his stunning lack of conscience so much so that calls for impeachment do become a distinct reality in this country? When will the light finally dawn that Obama does not care a whit for Israel and her people? This anti-Zionism is only the latest permutation of the oldest disease of anti-Semitism.

Will enough parents and teachers understand as Jacob Neusner wrote "civilization hangs suspended from generation to generation, by the gossamer strand of memory." Each time we allow the leftists to distort American history and American contributions as a country, then the "great chain of learning and wisdom snaps."
Will we take to heart the need for limiting Congressional terms; will a simplified tax system be instituted to halt the overarching power of the Internal Revenue System or will the Dark Ages of Obama become a permanent feature even when he is out of office?
To borrow from Rabbi Sacks who speaks about "History and Memory" as they relate to Passover, have we Americans entered a sort of "pre-Alzheimer's disease period" which will ultimately result in the disintegration of the grand experiment known as America?  Will this collective amnesia be all that is left?  Are there enough Americans who still believe in the promise of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness and who will speak out against the race and class baiting so favored by Obama and his ilk?
Will clergy of all stripes unite and articulate their anger about the odious comments of Obama as did Bishop E.W. Jackson in this segment?
The "achievement of a free and just society is the work not of a moment but of many generations." If Obama's hubris continues unabated, and the country does not demand a respect for and a return to its core values, then, ultimately, we will have failed the children of this nation, and that is a crime that can never truly be forgiven.
