Politicians say the darnedest things.
Fully invested in the believe that if a lie is repeated often enough, it will become the truth, Democratic House Minority LeaderNancy Pelosi said Friday that PresidentObama is “one of the most practically non-partisan presidents” she has ever seen.
Seriously, she said this.
During an interview on Friday with the USA Today editorial board, Ms. Pelosi commented on the upcoming budget battle and an expected increase in thedebt ceiling :
“Here’s the thing — the president is one of the most practically non-partisan presidents I have seen in the White House. I’ve been there since Ronald Reagan, and he really is working to try to get some bipartisan agreement.”
This coming from the woman who once said of Obamacare, “We have to pass the bill so you can find out what is in it.”
Pelosi said they’ve been “working very hard” to avoid a government shutdown, before saying “the president is talking about a grand bargain for middle-income jobs, but the bigger, the grander the bargain the more you can accommodate, shall we say, other things you don’t like so much.”
Speaking of lies, the most unpopular congressional leader of our time is still repeating the falsehood that the Obama administration didn’t postpone the mandate in Obamacare, only the penalties for not engaging in the mandate.
Even though the Washington Post fact-checker said a month ago that Pelosi is trying to “deny reality.”
In the end, this is but a furtherance of the liberal believe that not only are they entitles to their own opinions, but also to their own facts. A believe that, more often than not, is supported by a complicit media.
