As President Obama and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton continue to spout the false narrative that there was no corruption involved in Benghazi, more and more evidence concludes the opposite.
This week, new evidence emerged showing former CIA Deputy Director Mike Morrell was responsible for “editing” the Benghazi talking points, which then-Ambassador to the U.N. Susan Rice used when she appeared on the Sunday talk shows days after the attack.
Morrell blamed the FBI for the attack and maintained the incident was a spontaneous riot. To this day, President Obama still maintains that the terrorist attack was not solely perpetrated by al-Qaeda affiliate group, Ansar al-Sharia. In fact, the president still claims his administration is “on the path to defeat al-Qaeda” (though of course, last year he claimed al-Qaeda was already defeated).
Morrell’s editing of the Benghazi talking points becomes even more infuriating as the Senate Intelligence Committee learned this week that the chief of station—the senior intelligence officer for the U.S.— asserted the attack was NOT “an escalation of protests” just days after the terrorist attack.
“You would really have to have some incredibly overwhelming factual evidence to disregard that and there is no indication of that in the report at all,” said Sam Faddis, an expert on the CIA and U.S. intelligence community.
Why was this information originally concealed by the Obama administration? The cover-up keeps getting worse and is digging this liberal administration deeper into the hole of corruption.
