As political unrest continues to rip through the Ukraine, the Eastern European chaos is the last thing on President Obama’s mind.
Pres. Obama “warned” Putin about “consequences” Russia would face if it entered the Ukraine. Obama might as well tell Putin not to put his hand in the cookie jar.
Sec. of State John Kerry already admitted he has no faith Obama’s ability to make an impact on the political fiasco, so what’s Obama to do?
He’s traveling to Connecticut to meet with his merry band of loyal liberal governors to discuss raising the minimum, AGAIN.
It’s funny how whenever there’s a global crisis, Obama administration officials always run to their comfortable zones. For John Kerry, that means his 72-foot sailboat; for Obama, a Northeastern state with plenty of liberal worshippers.
Though, of course, that’s not how the Obama administration sees it.
According to the White House, on March 5, “the President will travel to Connecticut and deliver remarks…on the minimum wage. The President will be joined by Gov. Malloy (CT), Gov. Patrick (MA), Gov. Chafee (RI), and Gov. Shumlin (VT) to discuss the importance of raising the minimum wage and giving hardworking Americans the raise they deserve.”
