Raging liberal commentator Sally Kohn decided to take a few minutes of her precious day to hop on Twitter and defend the merits of radical Islam’s egregious legal standards known as Sharia law, calling the barbarism inherent in this belief system “progressive.”
You’d think someone who makes the big bucks like Kohn would be able to clearly see that supporting Sharia law is inconsistent with a current liberal worldview, you know, given the fact they toss homosexuals off buildings and oppress women and all.
As you might imagine, the response the CNN anchor received from fellow Twitter users was swift and brutal.

The liberal journalist claimed that many peaceful, “progressive Muslims” believe in Shariah law, the legal code that guides members of the Islamic faith and is strictly enforced in fundamentalist Islamic countries like Saudi Arabia.
Many have condemned Shariah as anti-American as it allows for violent forms of punishment and unequal treatment of women in a court of law. Few would call it “progressive.”
For example, according to a leading Shariah law manual, Reliance of the Traveller, the code also demands the killing of apostates, or those who once were Muslim but left the faith.
Given this, the responses that flooded in after Kohn’s Shariah tweet were not surprising:

This is a prime example of the stupidity that ensues when a liberal’s desire to be politically correct contradicts their other values, like standing up for women’s rights and the safety of homosexuals.
On one hand, Kohn can’t condemn Sharia because to do so would be considered intolerant. But on the other hand, if she doesn’t stand up for women and gays, she’s sexist and homophobic.
This is precisely why the notion of liberalism being a mental disorder has gained so much traction, because thinking like this is pure insanity.
