Levin: 'Somebody Who Wants to Fundamentally Transform America' Doesn't Believe It's Exceptional

(CNSNews.com) - "I believe in American exceptionalism with every fiber of my being," President Obama told the nation's newest Army officers at West Point on Wednesday.
No he doesn't, said conservative talk-show host Mark Levin.
"American exceptionalism -- somebody who wants to fundamentally transform America doesn't believe America is an exceptional place at all. So that's just all bull," Levin told Fox News's Sean Hannity Wednesday night.
"What does he mean by American exceptionalism?" Levin asked. "He stands up like Mussolini and talks about having a pen. But what does that mean? That means he's going to override the Constitution when he likes? American exceptionalism -- does he like free market capitalism? No, he detests it. Does he like individual liberty and success? No, he attacks it."
In October 2008, just before he was elected President, Obama said, "We are five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America." But five years later, Obama backed away from that remark, telling Fox News's Bill O'Reilly, "I don't think we have to fundamentally transform the nation."
This was after he transformed the nation's health care system; was planning to transform the nation's energy sector; and was pressing Congress to allow 11 million illegal aliens stay in this country legally.
Levin, pointing to the Veterans Administration scandal, said Obama's actions speak louder than words:
"If we were talking about food stamps, he'd move heaven and earth to fund the food stamp program and make sure everybody got their food stamps, or if he's talking about inequality and redistributing wealth or some massive stimulus program where all that money is wasted, again, he'd move heaven and earth to get that done," Levin said. "The veterans are not a top priority."
President Obama has said he'll wait for a report before doing anything about veterans, some of whom may be dying while waiting for appointments at the nation's VA hospitals.
Levin said Obama is focused on building monuments to himself -- programs such as Obamacare or amnesty, for which he will remembered:
"We've got a combination here that is really troublesome system for the country -- a radical ideologue who's a complete incompetent! And it's a disaster."
