Democrat: It’s “Not Fair” That We Have to Use Obamacare

Whats good for us is good for all you Liberals, You all voted it in!  What Douchbags!

Never underestimate the ability of a politician to have hideous character. No matter how low the bar is, they often find ways to set new all-time lows. Take  Rep. John Larson (D., Conn.), for example. He explains that it’s “simply not fair” that Obamacare is hurting his staff because they’re poor — leading many to go home instead of continue working.
Yes, this means there are now Democrats complaining about how Obamacare disproportionately hurts the poor more than anyone else. This means we’re seeing them finally admit what should be obvious to anyone who is economically literate: when the government violates the market, the poor are harmed the most. From Forbes:
“Politico reports that ‘many on Capitol Hill fear it could lead to a brain drain” and notes that “[t]he problem is far more acute in the House, where lawmakers and aides are generally younger and less wealthy.’ What? Obamacare disproportionally hurts those with lower incomes? It may come as a surprise, but it shouldn’t. We’ve known this since before the legislation even passed.” This has been mentioned repeatedly, whether in our principles of economics article, our article specifically about “no such thing as a free lunch“, our article explainingObamacare making prices double, or our guide on Obamacare increasing the deficit by trillions.
Even Liberals Are Turning Against Obamacare
A union has already said that “millions of workers” will be harmed by Obamacare, meaning they’ve turned on it fully, even demanding a repeal. Remember, these are the same people who demanded Obamacare in the beginning.
This happens constantly in politics. People campaign against the free market, win, and then realize they were wrong. Logically, you’d think they’d learn the lesson… but they rarely do.
The White House has admitted that young people will be hurt by Obamacare. This should cause young Obama supporters to pause and think about what went wrong. Obama has essentially thrown them under the bus for political gain. This is ridiculous, because real people are being harmed — but in politics, the question isn’t about helping people, it’s about retaining power.
Only a third of Americans still support it. Support is collapsing for Obamacare, especially as we’re getting close to seeing it implemented. This number will probably continue to fall as people realize that the reason politicians are always making false promises is because they don’t understand economics or they don’t care. It’s about power, and that’s all it’s about.
